Men at Work

T was thrilled when a dump truck backed up into my front yard and dumped an enormous amount of dirt(?) in front of our gate. As the driver was pulling away, I heard him shout, "Happy Mother's Day". Hmmm... odd. Micah came home a few hours later and commented that my gift had arrived. He was building a garden for me. Yay!

Now, the task at hand ... move that huge pile of dirt into the back! T was ready to help with his little shovel! Super cute! Yes, he is fair, I know this. He is properly slathered in sunscreen, I can assure you.

He was a big helper and so proud!

The hill in back is for eggplant and some other veggies that need to grow on a hill. ? Which veggies? I have no clue... maybe a melon or some squash? Anyways, Happy Mother's Day to me!

The Lake

The best of times are always had down at Gramanee and Papa's lake. We pulled into the driveway late in the day to kick off our Spring Break cousin's camp at Gramanee's. The smell of the campfire was in the air, the gator was busily moving supplies and off in the distance you could see everyone down at the lake. Aunt Lindsey opens the gate just as Gramanee comes around the corner with a smile and open arms. The warmest of welcomes! Off to the lake for chili dogs and good times!

Under Water Adventure

A couple of months ago we were in Houston helping my father move. The kids were tired of being in the car so we decided to take a break and see what Houston had to offer. We thought the Downtown Aquarium would be worth a shot. I'm so glad we went. It was completely awesome!They had different themed rooms and exhibits.

These sting rays were practically climbing the walls. Very weird.

They had a small amusement park outside. Ferris wheel, carnival games, and this super fun shark train that takes you for a ride around the park and into the shark tunnel. This was, by far, T's favorite attraction.

We had a fabulous time and all reasonably priced too. Next time you're in Houston, the Downtown Aquarium is a must see! Two thumbs up!
